Conservation

Protecting Uganda's natural heritage for future generations

Our Commitment to Conservation

The Kikooko Foundation is deeply rooted in the heritage and natural beauty of Uganda. Our founder, Warren, hails from the Bakiga people, an indigenous group living in the breathtaking hills and mountains of the region.

In Rukiga, the language of the Bakiga people, "Kikooko" means "animal." We chose this name because Uganda's rich wildlife and natural wonders are not only a reason to visit but also a responsibility to protect and conserve.

By supporting the Kikooko Foundation, you make a difference. Every donation helps safeguard this unique ecosystem, protect wildlife, and uplift the communities that call it home.

Kikooko Foundation & Kikooko Africa Safaris

The Kikooko Foundation operates as a sister organization to Kikooko Africa Safaris, with distinct but complementary missions. Kikooko Africa Safaris showcases Uganda's natural beauty through responsible tourism across East Africa.

Kikooko Africa Safaris is creating lasting positive impact through donating 3% from clients trip costto support conservation and community initiatives.
