Basket of Kikooko Education Fund (BOKEF)
Providing quality education for Uganda's brightest minds, from primary school through university.
Every Child Deserves Quality Education
At Kikooko Foundation, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education. Yet, in Uganda, this remains a privilege rather than a right. While privately-run schools offer better resources and qualified teachers, the cost of tuition places them out of reach for many families living on subsistence incomes.
For years, we have been on a mission to bridge this gap, ensuring that passionate and talented students are not left behind simply due to financial hardship. Through general donations and individual sponsorships, we provide children with the opportunity to gain knowledge, build careers and transform their communities.
As students progress to secondary and tertiary education, where costs significantly increase, fewer families can afford to continue their children's education. This financial barrier is especially felt at the university level, where aspiring doctors, lawyers, and educators often find their dreams cut short due to a lack of funds.
To combat this challenge, weestablished the "Basket of Kikooko Education Fund", a pooled resource that helps cover tuition costs and support families in need. Ensuring that no student is forced to abandon their education.
By expanding this fund, we can open more doors for Uganda’s youth, giving them the education they deserve and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
100% Direct Impact
-
100% of your donation and sponsorship is used directly on site. No costs or fees are deducted from the donated amounts.
-
Donations are used exclusively for the children. For example, for hygiene articles, education, mattresses, clothing, school books, and health care.
-
Administrative costs are covered separately. Travel and other costs that do not constitute direct aid are borne solely by the founding members of Kikooko and volunteers, never from external donations.
